Principles and enablers

Consortium or partnerships are a group of organisations who have come together to fulfil their employer facing work, and the sharing of resources. Yours may have developed out of existing working partnerships, but for new or existing partnerships you need to have clear mutual goals in order to work together confidently and successfully.

To do this you need to ‘enable’ the partnership to work through a series of planned actions and design a set of principles that they the partnership agree to work to.

Principles

  • Partnership enablers need to be outcome-focused with clear and agreed objectives that are set at the beginning of the partnership.
  • There needs to be long-term monitoring of outputs to ensure that all partners are working towards the agreed objectives and that delivery is measured against the objectives
  • To enable continuous improvement all partners need to be clear at all levels about agreed milestones and targets.
