Learning technologies

Flexible learning is often associated with multimedia and web-based technology, but in the workplace learning context it involves identifying and selecting the most appropriate content, support systems and learning strategies to fulfil the needs of the learners, the workplace and course or programme requirements.

A professional development framework for e-learning has been developed by LSN in conjunction with the Department for Education and Skills (DFES), Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK), the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), the Institute for Learning (IfL) and other sector organisations.
